Championship Week

So many basketball games to decide who's in and who's out.

Does anyone really buy Rhode Island as a Tourney team? Same goes for the state of Mississippi basketball.

A New Number One

Welcome to the last week of the regular season, and the first week of March. I hope you all got to see the clinic Syracuse put on against Villanova for the nation's viewing pleasure. There will be more of that to come I hope.

Many thanks to Tennessee and Oklahoma State. This is the most exciting time of the year!

Here's a question, what will there be more of: Atlantic 10 teams that make the tournament, or members of this blog that will post this week?

Olympics and Bracketbusters this week, with a huge Syracuse/Georgetown game on Thursday.

It appears that the Pac 10 does have a clear leader now, but the same cannot be said for the SEC West.

Who wins the Ivy: Princeton, Harvard, or Cornell? Who would have thought that that race would be more interesting then any conference West of the Rocky Mountains.

Week 13

Don't drive angry UNC. It must be the first time that a team that was ranked #4 in the AP poll for several weeks in the non-conference schedule won't make the tournament? NIT isn't a cake walk either.

Well, the Texas free throw average is getting dangerously close to Shaq's career average from the line. Not sure how that is possible considering they run about 9 guys. Just put that anywhere, pal

Week 12

Rise and shine woodchuck chuckers. Now that February is upon us, we should all have a better idea of whats going on, but the more these games are played the more I find myself confused. The first half of our polls should reflect similar notions of how good Kentucky and Syracuse are, and how bad Texas is looking lately. But the bottom four spots are up for grabs everywhere. It seems just about every "mediocre" team had a loss this week.

All week should be a celebration of Groundhog Day, and in honour of this great film, all insults and attacks on one's list or personality, should have some use of the movie (directly or indirectly) in it.

Week 11

I will be in attendance tonight for the Georgetown/Syracuse game, witnessing one of the best big men in the nation (Greg Monroe) and how he handles the pressure from Jimmy's 2-3 Zone. My money is on him not being able to handle AO and King Ricky, but we will see.

There's murmurs of a Old Dominion/Northeastern game this week too, and that would be for all the CAA marbles.

No one in the Pac10 should still be ranked.

Week 10

Virginia is in 1st place in the ACC.
