Just 6 weeks away...

As the calendar turns from January to February, a reminder that the grandest 4 weeks in college sports are a little over a month away from now. And since lately no-one is safe in the AP top 10, it ought to be a wilder time than usual.

Never too early to start throwing out March Madness plans, I will be here in Winston-Salem having to work the games barring a complete Richie Tenenbaum-esque meltdown by the Gators that somehow doesn't have them doing dancing. But I would love to live vicariously through some of you if you're doing something tight.

Onto the polls...

Not So Fab(ulous)!

If Syracuse is going to have a tough time against Notre Dame, then one has to doubt whether or not the frail Baye Moussa Keita can hang with Yancey Gates who is an established thug.

Florida State is the hottest team in America right now after taking down UNC and now Duke, which snapped quite the home winning streak.

Who do each of you have winning the Pac-12? It is apparent that only one team will qualify for the field of 68 after Cal's beating in Pullman on Saturday.

The Road

If this past week didn't remind you of how difficult it is for these kids to play on the road, you weren't paying attention. Very curious to see how you guys react to UNLV's loss to a surprisingly strong San Diego St. Speaking of San Diego, you have to imagine a big school making a play at him? USC maybe.

Now that football is behind us...

One great thing about the BCS game every year is the discussion surrounding the alternatives that could take place if the knuckleheads who ran college football would wise up and give the fans some sort of a playoff.

Hartzell, how often do you get caught Tebow-ing? I think I saw you on the website.

Conference Play Begins

Happy New Year basketball enthusiasts! Here is a question for you to ponder, who is better Georgetown or Indiana? After nearly a month's absence we hope that Dru is okay and will return to fuel the fire of debate.
