There's a 15th anniversary edition of Groundhog Day coming out in late January. The cover art looks like a 55 year old was trying photoshop for the first time but this edition will have deleted scenes. I know we all agree the film is perfect but yeah, I'm going to watch them anyway.

Week 6

Lville continues to impress and the 8th best team in the Pac 10 destroyed Matt B's 16th pick by over 20. Disappointing loss for Oregon in overtime and Tenn had a huge win over Western Kentucky, I'm very impressed.

In Big East news, St Johns lost to Niagara and Depaul lost to Illinois Chicago after taking Vandy to overtime earlier in the week.

Week 5

Huge upset win for syracuse this past week, I mean HUGE

Week 4

Big week coming up with 3 members of the blog attending the Jimmy V Classic on Tuesday, ESPN at 7pm.

Week 3

What do you do with undefeated and unchallenged teams like Pitt, Wash St and Wisconsin when the majority of the top programs already have a loss? Well Wash St just held an opponent to 9 points in the 2nd half so I'm personally willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but I'm guessing Matt will not.

Some comments based on my 2nd row viewing of Texas AM vs Ohio St and Cuse vs Wash in the preseason NIT Final:
-Texas AM is the real deal, they have patience, talent and play incredible defense. Kansas should be worried.
-Watch out for Washington, the game was very close despite the final score and the officiating was a joke.
-I was very impressed with Syracuse (especially Greene, not so much Flynn) but they have a serious gap in the front court.
-Ohio St is good but they really only have two players, it shouldn't be hard to shut them down if you have a solid big man.

Week 1

I don't expect anyone to repost their power 16's yet but let's keep the trash talk high.

Preseason Power 16

I wanted to start off this year with a tiny statistic: 60% of the Pac-10 conference is in the Preaseason Top 25 AP Poll (50% in the top 20). Also, Syracuse is not in the top 25 and only 4 teams from the Big East made the list (Nova was close but I digress) for a solid 25% of the Big East. The only thing that really pisses me off is how late I'm going to have to stay up to watch most of the best pre-dance basketball.

Duke at 13 is of course, ridiculous and Lux is an Oregon fan again although I think they might finish 5th in their conference. Isn't it great to pick your favorite team every year?

Dru, in case you were wondering, the ACC also has 25% of their conference in the top 25 but I think NC State is terribly underrated so maybe there's some hope that another team can actually match up with UNC.
